Dear Aditi, The criteria for DSA Accreditation were expanded in 2007 to include Standards of Excellence for Day Spa operations. In addition, there are new requirements for documents that must accompany the application. The full DSA Accreditation application may be obtained on the website www.dayspaassociation.com. Day Spas applying for DSA membership can save money by applying for DSA Accreditation at the time of their request for membership. DSA Accreditation is not hard to achieve. Quality Day Spas that provide genuine spa services from properly credentialed professionals and have appropriate written policies and procedures in place will have no difficulty meeting the DSA Accreditation Criteria. Rosemary Weiner Chair, DSA Advisory Board Owner, The Brass Rose Spa Being a DSA Accredited Day Spa has really benefited our spa in terms of distinguishing us from our competitors. In these economic times, consumers want to make sure that they get value for their money. DSA Accreditation is a strong measure of assurance that they are getting professional services at a center for excellence.
